"Dunedin, New Zealand" Off-Grid house application 16 x 300AH 15KW (24V 600AH) replacing a 24V 740AH SLA Bank

Note the small footprint and simple installation by the owner of this LifePO4 housebank

off grid house, dunedin, New Zealand

Owner Michael Says "I have been using my new batteries from about 18th of Oct in the 24volt option, 2 strings of 8 batteries in series connected them in parallel, giving me 600A/hr at 24volts. They seem to be performing really well. I have not had to switch-over to grid power since installing them. If I was using my old SLA batteries I think I would have used grid power about 3-4 evenings. The battery voltage, first thing in the morning is always at 26.7volts, the SLA would be sitting at 24.5volts. Two days ago we had very little solar power, but the battery voltage just went down to 26.6volts."

"Pukekohe Raceway Auckland New Zealand" Portable PWR pack 16KWH running race bike tyre warmers

portable power, race bike

On race days everyone runs a generator all day to warm their tyres. The noise and pollution of 50+ generators adds to the already rowdy atmosphere. With careful management the 1KW heating load can be efficiently handled by the 16KWH PortaPWR. This pack is designed for tradesmen's intermittent use of power tools etc. and not ideal for continuos supply of heat, however used sparingly it is an alternative for this application.
